An evocative, poignant and melancholic adaptation of the James Joyce short story by a great director nearing the end of his life. On a snowy January 6th 1904 an extended family attend an evening of food, drink and music at the home of two elderly sisters and their niece- we take in their interactions and relationships. At the end of the evening two of the guests reflect on the night, casting a different light. Starring Anjelica Huston, Donal McCann, Dan O'Herlihy, and Frank Patterson.
